The Misicuni teaching case
I coauthored an MBA teaching case on the Misicuni Multipurpose Project, researching its development and interviewing key decision-makers.
Understanding the decision
Selected by the UPB Chancellor, I joined peers from other faculties to coauthor “Julio León Prado and the Misicuni Multipurpose Project,” an MBA teaching case for Olave School of Business.
The case explores a dilemma faced by the project’s lead contractor amid political, financial, and social pressures. My research included examining the project and interviewing key decision-makers to understand the circumstances around those decisions.
Research for the classroom
The finished case was developed for use in Olave’s MBA programs. Its purpose is to bring readers into a real managerial dilemma and give them a basis for discussion.
The project gave me experience researching across disciplines and turning source material and interviews into a teaching narrative. It also offered a closer look at an infrastructure project with particular significance for the region where I grew up.
